The Backlog Is Not the Strategy
A backlog can be full and still be directionless.
It can contain requests, bugs, wishes, dependencies, politics, and fear. But volume is not strategy.
A long backlog often hides the absence of choice.
Strategy begins when something important is deliberately not done.
If everything is priority, the backlog has become a landfill.
